		<description>I've been deliberating on my particular follow philosophy, and I too relate to the notion of being a selective follower. Many of the how-to posts on Twitter still talk about the etiquette of following those who follow you. Intuitively, this does not make sense to me, especially when you consider the "popularity" numbers game you also discuss. Thanks for the post. f</description>

		<description>I particularly appreciate your advice on being a selective follower. There is a lot of information out there and we have to discern what is most valuable for us. And there does seem to be an odd form of peer pressure to follow and be followed. 

Personally, I've started going through my list of those I'm following on a weekly basis and remove anyone whose tweets I generally disregard anyway.</description>
